Out of Many is a place to talk about humans and how we interact with each other, with a focus on how we can better deal with complex and large-scale social situations.  Topics of particular interest include: open communities, moral psychology, network science, social ecosystems, political philosophy, the history of communication and journalism, computer science, and anthropology.  I prefer a cross-disciplinary approach, which means I am often out of my depth. 😉

There are four main categories of posts.  Quick Thoughts is for short and speculative musings, stuff that I just want to jot down and open up for comments.  Blog Posts are more elaborate but still informal.  When I get a set of ideas fleshed out, they may become an EssayErrata are mostly corrections to previous posts worth highlighting.
